Tip: Choose the right calendar for your needs
It sounds banal, but it is the first step towards using your calendar sustainably and successfully planning your appointments and to-dos. So choose a variant that suits you and your lifestyle:
Classic planners:
Do you travel a lot and have a lot of appointments that need to be planned well in advance? Is a good weekly or daily overview important to you? Then a classic pre-dated calendar or ring planner is the right choice for you. This will take a lot of work off your hands and give you an overview of your appointments.
Bullet Journaling:
If you are more of a creative person and would like to decide for yourself how you want to design your overviews, then a bullet journal might be the right option. All you really need is a blank notebook and a good pen, and you can simply design your planner however you like. This might sound a bit laborious at first, but if you find a system that works well for you, it goes really quickly. The advantage of bullet journaling: you have creative freedom, you can divide your pages up freely, and there is plenty of inspiration on the internet and on social media. This quickly turns a simple planner into a creative souvenir of your year.
Digital Planner:
And for those who prefer to do everything on their computer or smartphone: Digital Planning. Here, too, there are different variants that require more or less creativity. For example, you can simply use the default calendar on your phone and still "prettify" it a bit with the help of our tips. Or, if you want more flexibility, there are some tools that you can use on your tablet, for example, that will make your digital planner a real eye-catcher.
2. Work with colors & symbols:
If we have a lot of appointments and tasks, even a calendar with a lot of space quickly becomes chaotic and confusing. Therefore: At the beginning of the year, think about which events repeat and therefore get their own color (e.g. yoga class: purple, coffee with friends: blue, etc.). You can also think of symbols for certain characteristics of appointments or tasks that you can use to find them in the calendar at a glance (e.g. a small clock as a symbol for a deadline).
3. Plan your goals & needs in the calendar:
You can feel whatever way you want about New Year's resolutions. But setting specific goals for the New Year and becoming aware of your own needs always helps and brings clarity and structure to your everyday life. So use free pages to define your goals for the New Year or keep a habit tracker to record your progress.
4. Decorate important events with our cute stickers!
In keeping with our monthly theme of "Blooming&Thriving," we've designed cute sticker sheets that make organizing and planning even more fun! For example, use the coffee mug for the next brunch with your friends or "Priority" if you have a particularly important project coming up!
5. No pressure: Have fun with your calendar!
Probably the most important tip. A calendar or planner should make your life easier, not more difficult. So don't put yourself under pressure if you're careless with your calendar, find a system that really works for you and that allows you to track your goals and needs in the New Year.
