Halloween is just around the corner! Our instructions are for everyone who is looking for a cute last-minute costume and enjoys crafting. The pirate costume not only looks super cute, but can also be imitated super quickly in just six steps. And best of all, you probably already have most of the materials at home. If you still have leftover fabric lying around somewhere, you can use it for this!

For this you need:
  • Fabric scraps (we used our muslin fabric)
  • Fabric scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • piece of cardboard
  • Black elastic band
  • Pen
  • Striped t-shirt
  • Jeans
Step 1:

Cut out an oval shape from cardboard for the eye patch. Place the cardboard cut-out on a piece of black fabric that protrudes approx. 1-2 cm at the edges. Fold over the excess fabric and glue it to the cardboard cutout with a hot glue gun.

Step 2:

Measure the head circumference with the black rubber band and tie it accordingly. But don't tie it too tight!

Step 3:

Glue the black elastic to the back of the eye patch with the hot glue gun.

Step 4:

Cut out a square for the pirate headscarf, fold diagonally and fold over once. Put the headscarf on your head so that the tip hangs at the back of your head and then tie the two ends together at the back of your head.

Step 5:

For the belt, cut out a piece of fabric approx. 1 m x 15 cm and cut in spikes at the ends for the typical pirate look.

Step 6:

If you have any fabric left, you can also make a bracelet. To do this, cut out a piece of fabric approx. 15 x 3 cm and also cut in spikes at the ends.

Just add a striped t-shirt and a pair of jeans for the complete look!

We wish you a lot of fun tinkering and a Happy Halloween!
