Autumn is the perfect time to decorate your home with cozy decorations. In this DIY project, we'll show you how to use fabric scraps to create beautiful muslin fabric pumpkins. This sustainable decoration will give your home a warm, autumnal atmosphere. Let's get started right away!
You need:
- fabric scraps
- filling
- medium-sized plate
- Scissors
- thick thread & needle
- hot glue gun
- jute cord/natural fiber cord
- cinnamon stick/ paper wire
- optional: dried flowers, bows, decorative ribbon, etc.
This is how it works:
Step 1: Cut the fabric to the size of a plate.
Step 2: Sew along the outer edge of the fabric with needle and thread.
Step 3: Stuff the fabric pumpkin with cotton wool and pull the thread tightly until the pumpkin is closed. Then tie a knot.
Step 4: Accentuate the pumpkin shape by wrapping it four times with jute twine or natural fiber cord.
Step 5: Now attach either a cinnamon stick with the hot glue gun or optionally use paper wire for the stem. Decorate the pumpkin according to your taste.
Have fun trying it out!
