Good sleep is essential for our general well-being, and yet we often have trouble falling asleep. There can be many reasons for this, but it is often the classic: too much stress. However, with a nightly evening routine and the use of the right products, you can significantly improve your sleep quality. In this blog post, we share our favorite tips on how you can fall asleep relaxed in the evenings in the future and how high-quality muslin products such as our muslin bed linen or our lavender sachet can help you.

1. Establish a regular sleep routine

One of the most important steps to falling asleep easier is to have a consistent sleep schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This will help regulate your body's internal clock so you can fall asleep more easily and wake up naturally!

2. Create a relaxation routine:

Think about a relaxing evening routine for the time before going to bed that signals to your body that it is time to wind down. You can do this by dimming the lights, slowly turning off your screens (phones, laptops, TV) and engaging in calming activities that allow you to process the experiences of the day and leave them behind. How about, for example, a relaxing round of Yin yoga in the evening or an entry in your journal to sort out your thoughts?

3. Cuddly soft muslin bed linen from hutch&putch

Once you're in bed and trying to fall asleep, your bedding can be a crucial factor in your sleeping comfort. Muslin is perfect for this: the fabric is light, breathable and cuddly soft, which promotes air circulation and keeps you cool on warm nights and cozy in winter. The cozy texture improves the entire sleeping experience and provides a gentle hug that lulls you to sleep.

4. Aromatherapy with the scent of lavender

Lavender has been used for centuries to promote relaxation and improve sleep quality. Our favorite tip: In the morning when you make your bed, simply place our muslin lavender bag , filled with dried lavender flowers, on your pillow and cover it with your muslin bed linen. When you snuggle up in the evening, the calming scent will immediately fill your nose!

5. Optimize your sleeping environment

In addition to our lavender sachet, other small adjustments in your bedroom can also create a better sleeping environment: Keep the room cool, dark and quiet. If necessary, invest in blackout curtains to block out the light from outside or use a sleep mask. If your thoughts tend to run wild in the evening, a relaxing breathing meditation or a bedtime story can also help you fall asleep quickly and greet the new day refreshed and well-rested the next day!
