3 gifts in mason jar

1. Roasted Almond Mix

Even though the Christmas market has been canceled in many places due to the pandemic, we definitely don't want to do without the sweet roasted almonds! The good news: roasted almonds are easy to make yourself at home and with this recipe they taste like they came from the Christmas market! All the ingredients you need are simply filled into a mason jar.

Ingredients:
  • 200g whole and unshelled almonds
  • 125g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

First add the brown sugar, then the vanilla sugar and cinnamon and finally add the almonds. Put the lid on and the gift is ready!

2. Spice mix with pink berries

The spice mixture is mixed very quickly and can be used in many different ways. The small pink berries are known for their delicate, sweet and aromatic taste, which is reminiscent of juniper. In order to develop the full aroma, however, the pink berries still have to be crushed or ground. The quantities are quite flexible and don't need to be followed exactly.

Ingredients:
  • 250g sea salt
  • 3 tbsp pink berries
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Simply mix all the ingredients and pour into the mason jar! You can of course also mix the spice mixture according to your taste and use other spices!

3. Coconut orange peeling

Cosmetic products from the kitchen are a wonderful gift idea to really spoil your loved ones! The fresh scent of orange combined with coconut is guaranteed to give your nose a treat!

Ingredients:
  • 500g brown sugar
  • 100g coconut oil
  • approx. 15 drops of orange flavor
  • 1 pack orange zest

Note that the orange aroma is skin-friendly! The coconut oil should be liquid so that you can mix it into a smooth scrub. If it is still firm, you can simply place it in a water bath for a few minutes. Mix together the liquid coconut oil and brown sugar and add about 15 drops of orange flavor. And because we can't get enough of the fresh scent of the orange, we've added a pack of orange zest. Well sealed, the body scrub stays fresh for several weeks.
