What would a barbecue be without dessert? Anything but a successful evening, because something sweet at the end is simply a must! On the menu today: A juicy grilled peach, filled with melt-in-the-mouth vanilla ice cream and sweet amarettini crunch. Here you can find out how you can imitate the peaches.
This is required:
* 300 ml of orange juice
* 1 tsp brown sugar
* 1 lemon
* 6 peaches
* 100g Amarettini
* Mint Leaves
* 20g powdered sugar
* 500g vanilla ice cream
Here's how:
Step 1: Wash and halve the peaches.
Step 2: Roughly crush the amarettini in a mortar.
Step 3: Caramelize the brown sugar in the saucepan. Deglaze with orange and lemon juice. Boil until it has a syrupy consistency.
Step 4: Roughly pluck the mint and add to the sauce along with the icing sugar and the crushed amarettini.
Step 5: Grill the peach halves on the grill for 3-5 minutes per side.
Step 6: Fill the peaches with the amarettini mixture and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve with a mint leaf and enjoy!
TIP
You can of course replace the vanilla ice cream with any type of ice cream. And if you don't like ice cream, no problem. How about cool, hand-whipped cream, for example? Or delicious vanilla sauce? There are no limits to your creativity!
