Christmas Eve, the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve: There are so many reasons to celebrate in December! And in addition to a winter-decorated table, what is a must for every good party? That's right: a delicious drink to toast with! For this reason, in this blog post we not only have tips and inspiration for the perfect Christmas table for you, but also a winter aperitif recipe for a successful start to the celebrations:
Winter-Lillet
This drink tastes like Christmas in a glass! If you like drinking Lillet Wild Berry in the summer, you shouldn't miss out on this winter variation of the popular aperitif. The combination of sweet pear and spicy thyme makes the drink an explosion of flavor, which is given a Christmassy note by the cinnamon syrup. The lemon juice ensures that the drink is not too sweet and rounds it off perfectly.
Ingredients:
5 cl Lillet Blanc
5 cl pear juice
5 cl tonic water
2 cl cinnamon syrup
3 cl fresh lemon juice
Decoration: cinnamon sticks, pear slices, thyme
Here's how:
Fill a glass of your choice with lots of ice cubes and measure out all the ingredients except the tonic water and add them. Finally, fill the glass with the tonic water (if you like it less sweet, use more tonic water) and decorate the glasses with a cinnamon stick and a pear slice. Cheers!
Decoration Tips for the Christmas Table
The menu is set, the drinks are chilled, but you still need inspiration on how to decorate the Christmas table this year? No problem! We'll show you three different decoration ideas with our muslin tablecloths and cloth napkins. From elegant to minimalist to classic Christmas decorations in red and green, there's guaranteed to be the right table setting for everyone!
Golden Christmas
At Christmas, everything shines and sparkles - even on the Christmas table! For this table setting, we combined our muslin tablecloth in indigo with our muslin napkins in cinnamon and added lots of gold accents. The dark blue and the warm brown tone harmonize beautifully with each other and the gold-colored cutlery, the gold-glittering scattered berries and gold-colored candlesticks create a glamorous and festive overall picture.
Tip: If you want to use candlesticks, make sure to play with the heights. You can also vary the colors of the candles. To avoid it becoming too busy, you should stick to one color family and play with different nuances.
Hygge Christmas
The word Hygge is the heart of Danish tradition and way of life and means a warm, feel-good atmosphere that you enjoy together with your loved ones. Do you want your guests to feel really comfortable and to spend a cozy Christmas together with lots of delicious food and good conversations? Then combine our muslin tablecloth in anthracite with our muslin napkins in cinnamon and opt for Nordic-inspired decorations, natural materials and muted natural tones.
Tip: If you use light houses for decoration, you not only have a beautiful decorative object, but also a cozy light source that creates a cozy atmosphere - simply hygge!
Cozy Christmas
Christmas tree, mistletoe, mulled wine, poinsettia - the color theme of green and red runs through the entire Christmas season and is the classic par excellence. So of course a table setting in the official Christmas colors was a must. For this we combined our muslin tablecloth in fir green with our muslin napkins in cranberry and used a wintery flower arrangement as the decorative centerpiece: green eucalyptus, red berries and Christmas paper decorations.
Tip: If you are hosting every Christmas holiday, you can also use artificial eucalyptus and berry branches for the Christmas flower arrangement. This way, your decorations will look fresh every day and you can use them again next year.
These were our three Christmas table settings. We hope we were able to inspire you and wish you a peaceful pre-Christmas period and a wonderful celebration with your loved ones!
