Ingredients:
Rooibos tea
Honey
vanilla extract
Milk
Here's how:
Let the rooibos tea brew according to the instructions and season with honey and vanilla extract. Froth the milk until warm and pour it over the tea. The ratio of tea to milk should be 1:3. Finally, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
pumpkin cinnamon rolls
If autumn were a dish, it would be these pumpkin cinnamon rolls, because what could be more autumnal than the combination of the intense aroma of cinnamon and the sweet taste of pumpkin?
Ingredients:
1 Hokkaido pumpkin
500g flour
1 egg
200g cane sugar
225g butter
100ml milk
1 tablespoon dry yeast
3 teaspoons cinnamon
200g cream cheese
100g powdered sugar
Here's how:
- Dice the pumpkin and bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes until soft.
- Allow the pumpkin cubes to cool and puree into a puree.
- Mix some of the pumpkin puree, flour, eggs, 50g sugar, 75g butter, 100ml milk, yeast and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and knead well until the dough is smooth. Cover the dough with a damp tea towel and leave to rise for 2 hours.
- For the filling, mix 150g butter, 150g cane sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface and spread the butter, cinnamon and sugar mixture over the dough.
- Roll the dough lengthways into a sausage shape and cut into 12 slices. Place the cinnamon rolls in a springform pan and leave to rise for another 40 minutes. Bake the cinnamon rolls for 35 minutes at 180°C fan oven until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar with a hand mixer until fluffy. Once the cinnamon rolls have cooled, spread the frosting on the rolls and enjoy them warm!
