Halloween is coming soon! Are you planning a Halloween party with your friends or for your children this year and still need some inspiration for the right spooky decoration or a delicious party snack? Then we have two super simple ideas for you with which nothing will go wrong on your Halloween:
Simple Halloween Snack: Spider Crackers with Cream Cheese
These crackers not only look sweet, they also taste really delicious!
This is what you need for the Halloween snack:
- cream cheese (200 g)
- a pack of pretzel sticks
- a pack of round crackers
- a pack of candy eyes
How to prepare the spider crackers:
Step 1: Spread cream cheese on one side of two crackers for each spider.
Step 2: Stick small pieces of the pretzel sticks into the cream cheese on the bottom as legs. Then put the other cracker on top as a lid.
Step 3: Then stick the sugar eyes on using a little cream cheese as glue. Done!
Little tip: You can vary the taste of the crackers a little by using cream cheese with different flavors, such as with herbs or something similar.
DIY pumpkin ghost garland
Of course, a real Halloween party cannot be complete without the right decorations. With this garland you can create a real eye-catcher very quickly and without using a lot of materials!
This is what you need for the Halloween garland:
- Wool in orange, green and white (the thicker the wool, the fluffier the pumpkin will be)
- craft googly eyes
- Scissors
- craft glue
- string for the garland
Here's how:
Step 1: To make the pumpkin, first take the orange wool and wrap it around a book very often (at least 50 times) to create an even loop of wool. Then slowly remove the loop from the book.
Step 2: Take four equally long strands of the orange wool and tie them to four opposite sides of the wool loop. Then cut the loop between the knots so that you have four equally sized "pompoms".
Step 3: Cut a piece of the green wool and tie it to the orange string to attach the pumpkin's stem. Tying a few double knots in the green wool will make the stem look thicker and therefore more realistic.
Step 4: For the ghosts, repeat the first step with the white wool. Then take an extra strand of the white wool and tie it to one edge of the wool loop to form the ghost's head.
Step 5: Use some craft glue to glue the googly eyes onto the ghost's head and cut open the bottom of the ghost's body so that the wool threads hang loosely down on one side.
Step 6: Now thread the ghosts and pumpkins alternately onto a garland. Done!
Now you have the decorations and you have prepared delicious snacks, but you still need a last-minute costume? Then take a look at our simple upcycling costume ideas and get some inspiration.
